Ohana Cafe in Cape Town

"Ohana is such a beautiful cafe, located right on the ocean. You can see the mist from the waves break, even if you are seated a bit further from the window. The food was really good and great value for money. There are loads of shops around, hence the perfect day out."

Fantastic portion sizes and a really vibey atmosphere. I will no doubt be returning. As a travelling Aussie this has been my favourite cafe by far in South Africa. Lekker."

"O Hana was raved about on the local eatery guide recently so I decided to give it a try. Went for a quick lunch after the always frustrating traffic of Kalk Bay. Even though they were busy there was no sense of panic and the best service I’ve ever had in Kalk Bay. Delicious coffee and their Sweet Chilli chicken wrap was fresh and full of flavour. I’m not a sweet tooth guy but I was told to try one of their fresh baked so I opted for the orange cake. Superb. Being a local I’m used to paying over the odds in Kalk Bay so I was even surprised when the bill came and it was very reasonable. Fully recommend the place."

"I recently visited Ohana three times in one week. It is a lovely coffee shop and restaurant with stunning views of False Bay! The coffee and food were both impressive. I had Cortado, an Americano and a Vietnamese iced coffee during my visits, all of which were excellent. I had a salmon eggs benedict on patato rosti for breakfast one day, which was a real treat. The only drawback in was the service, which was really slow. We waited for someone to assist us at our table during all three visits, often having to flag a waiter. It also wasn't always clear who our waiter was. We tended to have long waits for the coffee after placing orders, even when the restaurant was not very busy. I'm sure management could resolve these issues quite easily. This is the only reason I'm not giving 5 starts to the establishment. I look forward to going there again."
